*Friday July 19
2 p.m. – Sensory Friendly Performance: This added performance is a Sensory-Friendly performance that welcomes individuals with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum, as well as first-time theatergoers and young children. The show will be modified to limit loud sounds and flashing lights. Seating is general, so you may sit where you please. The lighting in the
theatre will be low but not completely dark. Patrons may move as needed during the show, staff and actors are trained to accommodate your needs, and all patrons are welcome to experience the show in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Refunds are available for this special performance only.

Doner Auditorium makeup room

Doner Auditorium project progresses with SDHC grant

The Doner Auditorium digital preservation project is moving forward, thanks to a South Dakota Humanities Council grant.

Ƶ theater history could be saved with donor help

There may be a second act in store for the Ƶ theater history left behind in Doner Auditorium. The auditorium’s green room and makeup rooms hold nearly four decades worth of inscriptions from theatre students who covered the walls, ceilings and other surfaces with their signatures, dates, season lineup schedules, quotes and favorite lines from plays.

Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center provides ultimate theater experience

Theater students can put on a first-class/world-class production thanks to the recent addition to the Performing Arts Center. After the addition was completed, it was renamed to the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center. Students now perform in the new, state-of-the-art proscenium theater, which seats about 850 people.
