Built in 1967, Hansen Hall is a four-story co-ed residence hall on the west side of campus that houses 300 residents. Hansen Hall has a fitness facility, a sauna and also a full-service computer lab.
Building Description
Hansen Hall has single and double rooms available and an option for small pets. There is also a convenience store located in Hansen Hall called .
The residence hall is named after N.E. Hansen, former head of the horticulture department. Dr. Hansen was a world-renowned authority on horticulture who toured Europe and Asia as the first plant explorer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. His influence and many of the species he collected from around the world can still be found on campus and across North America. He served at 成人视频 from 1895 until 1937. He helped establish the world's first greenhouse devoted to plant breeding on this campus and he had either a direct or indirect role in the introduction in South Dakota and in this country of Cossack alfalfa, crested wheat-grass, brome grass, Hope flowering crabs and honeydew melons, to name a few. Hansen also wrote the words to the school song, "The Yellow and Blue," continued to involve himself in research, plant breeding, teaching and public service until his death in 1950.
