³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Foundation leaders awarded presidential medallions
South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn has bestowed presidential medallions upon three ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Foundation leaders for their contributions to the university. The recipients were Steve Erpenbach, president and CEO of the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Foundation; Keith Mahlum, vice president for development; and Tim Dwire, vice president for finance and operations.
Sanford Underground Research Facility leader to speak at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ
The Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead is at the forefront of research in physics, geology, biology, engineering and more. Its leader, Mike Headley, will share details about the facility’s progress and plans for the future when he presents "Sanford Underground Research Facility: 2035 and Beyond," at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in Woster Celebration Hall at the South Dakota State University Alumni Center, 815 Medary Ave.
Ichinomiya named October’s Civil Service Employee of the Month
Tomoko Ichinomiya, a program assistant for the Office of the President, has been named South Dakota State University’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for October.

South Dakota State honors newest endowment holders
South Dakota State University recently paid tribute to the university’s newest endowment holders. The third annual University Leadership Honors investiture ceremony — honoring six holders of endowed positions across three different colleges and ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Athletics — was held Sept. 19 in Founders Recital Hall in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.
³ÉÈËÊÓƵ shatters enrollment records, climbs to more than 12,000 students
A record first-year class and record retention moved enrollment at South Dakota State University to 12,065 students for the fall 2024 semester, the highest enrollment at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ since 2018. Enrollment figures were released earlier today by the South Dakota Board of Regents.
