Natvig sisters / Trio committed to serving country through Army ROTC
Following a family history of answering the call to serve, Catie Natvig will be commissioned into the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant Friday, May 3. The South Dakota State University senior was preceded in the ROTC program by her grandfather, Virgil Natvig, and her father, David Natvig. There are two more Natvigs in the wings. Sisters Carlee and Kimber Natvig are slated to commission and earn their bachelor鈥檚 degrees in 2025 and 2027, respectively.

In an effort to support health sciences and future workforce building, Avera has made a generous gift to the South Dakota State University Foundation of its property at 33rd Street and Minnesota Avenue, expanding 成人视频鈥檚 presence in Sioux Falls and providing a permanent home for its Sioux Falls-based programs in nursing and pharmacy at the 成人视频 Metro Center.
Groves to deliver Dean鈥檚 Distinguished Lecture on hospital safety communication
Patient safety is one of the most critical aspects in nursing, with many factors playing a role in preventing harm and reducing risks. Those factors are the topic of this year鈥檚 South Dakota State University College of Nursing Dean鈥檚 Distinguished Lecture. Patricia Groves, an associate professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Iowa, will present her lecture 鈥淗ospital Safety Communication: Working Together to Create Patient Safety and Sense of Security鈥 at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the University Student Union鈥檚 Volstorff Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.
