Veteran鈥檚 Day honors our Veterans who served in all wars and their service to the country. Service Star banners were hung in a window for all to see that a family had members serving in the military. This World War II service star banner indicates that the family had three family members serving in the armed forces. If there was a gold star on the banner, it meant that someone had died during the war. During World War II U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corp members served in Europe, North Africa and the Pacific.
