W.A. Weber wrote and published “My Book Profits in Poultry” in 1927. It is a catalog and guide in raising poultry and shows the different breeds you can purchase from the Weber Hatchery and their prices. It offers tips for success in raising poultry, the equipment to buy and reviews from previous customers. Weber was a breeder, hatchery man and dealer in poultry equipment. He owned the Mankato Hatchery in Mankato, Minnesota where he was born and raised and shipped chicks and equipment all over the United States. Catalogs like this one show us what types of poultry farmers were raising, how much the livestock cost and the equipment they used.
