Groups identified in this category fall under the authority of an academic department at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ and are not official RSOs. Due to their activities and priorities, these groups broadly represent the teaching, research or service component of ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ’s mission. These groups follow the naming standards applicable to RSOs but must use the SD logo lockup.
- UMC must be notified by the academic department of the establishment or discontinuance of an Academic Department Sponsored Organization.
- ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Academic Department Sponsored Organizations must follow applicable communications standards when speaking on behalf of ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ or independently.
- SD logo lockups must be created and provided by UMC.
- If these groups must include an outside organization’s name, logo or insignia, a cobrand or sponsorship solution may be developed and use must be preapproved by the university president, via the process managed by UMC.
- The group must follow all ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Graphic Identity Standards.
