Dan Berg is the manager of quality and regulatory affairs at Spartronics in Watertown, South Dakota. Dan is a 1989 electrical engineering graduate of South Dakota State University. While at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ, Dan completed an internship at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota and participated on the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ meat and livestock judging teams, Block and Bridle Club and Little International.
Dan has spent over 30 years in the contract electronics assembly industry. He began his career at EMD Associates in Winona, Minnesota, as a functional test development engineer. While at EMD, he also filled the roles of project manager, program manager and manager for a satellite design engineering office in the Minneapolis area. When EMD was acquired by Benchmark Electronics, Dan served as a senior program manager directing cross-functional customer team activities for the worldwide provider of integrated electronics manufacturing, design and test engineering services. In 2015, he moved back to South Dakota and joined the team at Spartronics and is currently the quality and regulatory affairs manager.
Dan’s family has strong ties to ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ. He is married to Lora Duxbury Berg (³ÉÈËÊÓƵ alum), who is currently the director of marketing and communications for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. Dan has two children, Ethan (³ÉÈËÊÓƵ alum) and Evan Berg. Dan has supported youth activities as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, a 4-H leader and a church youth group leader.
