Jeff Klassen - EE IAB

Jeff is the functional manager of the POWER Systems Virtualization Development organization. Jeff is responsible for the POWER Hypervisor (PHYP), Simulation and Partition Firmware development for the global POWER Systems Enablement organization.

Jeff joined the IBM Corporation in Rochester in 1990 after first obtaining industry experience with Harris Semiconductor Corporation in Palm Bay, Florida and with ROLM Corporation in Santa Clara, California. Jeff received his Master of Science degree in engineering management from Stanford University in 1989 and his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from South Dakota State University in 1983. Jeff has held a variety of management assignments within IBM Systems that have included firmware development, I/O hardware development, IBM i OS software development, systems test and user technologies / user centered design. He has also had additional IBM management experiences in manufacturing, procurement and with the plastics center of competency for the corporation.
