Bob Schmidt of Pierre serves as senior vice president – North Business Lending Division for Farm Credit Services of America. He was a three-year letter winner in football at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ and graduated in 1978 with degrees in economics and agricultural finance. In 1979, he started with the Rapid City Federal Land Bank. In 1981, he moved to Casper, Wyoming, to lead the Casper Federal Land Bank Branch Office. While in Casper, he also was promoted to assistant vice president and spent five years in the special assets division. In 1990, he moved to Pierre as an area manager leading retail office delivery systems for Farm Credit Services of America. His job expanded to its current role, leading retail delivery for all of South Dakota and northwest Iowa. Bob is a member of the Value Added Agricultural Center Board and The South Dakota Corn Council Board. His wife, Carla, is a registered nurse and recently retired. The couple has two children: Krista Sarvis, who received a doctorate in pharmacology from ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ and lives in Spearfish, and Anne Kvamme, who received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Creighton and lives in Brookings. Both daughters and sons-in-law are undergraduates of ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ.
