Faculty Research and Outreach

Discover

The economy is always changing and new problems arise. Our faculty discover the answers through ongoing and project-based research programs. Several faculty members have Agricultural Experiment Station responsibilities to address concerns specific to South Dakota and the region. Applied research programs tend to focus on the efficiency of crop and livestock sectors, sustainability of the food and fiber system and rural development. Other research topics are as varied as our unique faculty, and span economic theory, business policy, financial economics and econometrics.

Our faculty are engaged with other researchers at SDState and across the region. Agricultural Experiment Station and grant funding provides support for several graduate students and enables them to apply economic solutions while pursuing their graduate studies.
