³ÉÈËÊÓƵ pharmacy program expanding to add second post-graduate residency with Lewis Drug
South Dakota State University’s College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions will expand its community-based pharmacy residency program from one to two residencies beginning in 2024. Since 2012, ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ has offered one residency as part of its joint residency program with Lewis Drug.

Citing her dedication and commitment to patients, respiratory therapist Abby Wortman has been honored with a national award by Monument Health. Wortman, of Rapid City, holds dual roles as an instructor in the respiratory care program at South Dakota State University and a respiratory therapist at the Rapid City hospital.

South Dakota State University hosted the inaugural Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Symposium on Nov. 1. The symposium saw 25 different presentations and posters from 35 faculty from across ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ, as well as a keynote from Peter Felten, professor of history, executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning, and assistant provost for teaching and learning at Elon University.
³ÉÈËÊÓƵ nursing faculty honored by peers
Two current and one retired member of the College of Nursing faculty at South Dakota State University have been honored by their peers. The service of Lori Hendrickx, Tom Stenvig and Marge Hegge was recognized by the South Dakota Nurses Association at its 2023 convention in Huron Oct. 1-2.
Cassady, Retzer to present junior recital
South Dakota State University juniors Joseph Cassady, clarinet, and Avery Retzer, soprano, will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ campus.
