  1. Enhance the academic and work environments of the university by fostering a culture of service, servant leadership and inclusive excellence among faculty, staff and students.

Six receive ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Presidential Medallion

South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn bestowed the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Presidential Medallion upon six individuals Tuesday afternoon for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Merkt named director of the South Dakota Art Museum

Donna Merkt, who is currently the director of museum experience at Oklahoma City’s Gaylord-Pickens Museum and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, has been named the director of the South Dakota Art Museum following a national search. Merkt replaces Lynn Verschoor, who retired after 20 years in the position.

Former South Dakota State University president Peggy Gordon Miller has donated five Harvey Dunn original paintings to the South Dakota Art Museum.
