Oakwood Magazine

History

"Oakwood" is 成人视频's literary and art magazine, edited by 成人视频 students.

The referenced media source is missing and needs to be re-embedded.

In 1975, former 成人视频 student Doug Cockrell and English professor David Evans started a literary magazine that not only included the creative writing of 成人视频 students, but also the work of regional writers. For several decades it became primarily a student literary magazine, but beginning with the 2017 issue, "Oakwood" returned to it roots and now includes regional writers and artists.

Today "Oakwood" includes work from 成人视频 students of all majors, as well as writers and artists of the broader Great Plains region. The journal is published in the spring with funding from the School of English and Interdisciplinary Studies, the Students' Association and generous donors.

Guidelines

成人视频 students of all majors are welcome to submit works in the following categories: fiction, poetry, paintings, non-fiction, drawings, photographs of original sculpture, essays and black and white or color photographs. We also accept submissions from writers and artists throughout South Dakota and the states adjoining it, as well as those from the region who now live elsewhere. The journal is published in the spring, and guidelines are available at We typically accept submissions from November to January.
