Francisella tularensis (Tularemia) Culture
Comments
Due to the zoonotic potential of Francisella tularensis performing a necropsy is not recommended. Send the whole animal to the ADRDL using proper containment. If the animal is alive, special precautions must be followed during sample collection and transport to the lab. Tissue samples should be placed in a clean container and chilled (not frozen).
