Football GameDay
There’s nothing like a football gameday. Fans are visiting South Dakota State University and Brookings from all over. With performances from the Pride of Dakotas Marching Band and a campus alive with events and pre-game tailgates, football gameday is an experience you don't want to miss.
Homecoming
Called to Wander! Each fall the university's homecoming is celebrated as the largest one-day event in the Dakotas. Hobo Day includes a parade through campus and downtown Brookings, a Jackrabbits football game and many other unique traditions. The return of alumni to their alma mater for a weekend of football, fun and memories has flourished and grown over decades.
