Schwartz, construction on Wenona Hall begun in 1908 and was completed in 1909 at a cost of $50,000. Art instructor Ada Caldwell secured the name—which represents the name given to the first maiden daughter in an Indian family—from state historian Doane Robinson.

Yeager Hall houses the University Printing Laboratory on the lower level and the School of Communication and Journalism on the upper level. It was built in 1951 at a cost of $238,144. In 2000, an addition was added to the upper level of the building and an extensive renovation was completed.
