Biography

Becky Degen, director of continuous improvement at South Dakota State University, offers lean leadership training and facilitates continuous improvement projects across campus. Her office’s purpose is to educate, empower and experiment using lean continuous improvement principles to help the individual and the organization.
Degen completed a B.A. in English from ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ and an M.S. in education from Kansas. She spent 15 years at Daktronics, Inc. where she was the Latin America and Caribbean Sales Manager before taking on the role of Lean Office Manager. She has also completed studies in lean practices through the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. and the Lean Enterprise Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
