Areas of Research

Approximately 75% of Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) acres in South Dakota are sown to cultivars developed by the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ-HRSW breeding program. The primary objective of the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ-HRSW breeding program is to continually improve grower profitability through genetic advancement of agronomic, disease resistance and end-use quality characteristics associated with new cultivars.
