Biography
Marissa Trosen is an instructor and the program director for respiratory care. Before serving in this role, she was the program's director of clinical education. Marissa worked in rural healthcare prior to academics, fulfilling duties as a staff respiratory therapist and then director of ancillary services. In her director role, Marissa oversaw the hospital departments of respiratory care, physical/speech/occupational therapy, radiology, laboratory, quality improvement and supply chain.As a respiratory therapist, Marissa is active in the South Dakota Society for Respiratory Care, serving as a director at large; and she is a board member of the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
