What is it?
A design competition is a high-intensity industry-simulation event, in which students adopt professional roles, are given industry specific challenges and deliver real-world solutions.
Our events run all day Saturday (8 a.m.-8 p.m.), with industry professionals volunteering their time to support students in designing an entire futuristic space settlement and pitch their design before a panel of industry experts.
What Happens?
We start at 4p.m. sharp with briefings on how to work within an organization, and then they form their engineering companies. RFP is released and design commences!
Saturday Morning
Students will get brief feedback from industry professionals as they battle time and communication challenges to finalize their designs. The design task is designed to challenge not just technical skills - but also critical soft skills.
Saturday Afternoon

Saturday Evening
Companies will pitch their presentation before a panel of industry professionals, then survive a Q&A session. After dinner, one Company will be crowned Champion and proceed to the international finals at the Kennedy Space Center in July!
