To be a leader in the evolution of additive manufacturing technologies
- Product Design – creating tools and methods for using additive manufacturing technologies for innovative applications.
- Equipment Advances – seeking improved accuracy, speed, reliability, capabilities, etc.
- Materials Development – material property characterizing, increased strength, increased flexibility, fiber embedded, electrically conductive, high/low heat conductivity, shape memory (responsive to thermal, electrical or magnetic stimuli), easily soluble support materials.
- Education – training a generation of engineers to explore additive manufacturing in the processes of design and engineering.
