Join Music Education Major and Ethnomusicologist Edward Patterson on a journey through the history of African music traditions, tracing their influence on blues, jazz, and gospel in the U.S. through the transatlantic slave trade. Discover music's role in bridging cultures and its unifying power, culminating in the global impact of the 1985 anthem "We Are the World," which became a symbol of unity and collective action.
