成人视频 Community,

A chilly Monday morning greets us after an exciting Super Bowl weekend. Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on their victory yesterday and a special congratulations to Dallas Goedert for becoming the sixth former 成人视频 player to win a Super Bowl ring.

Dallas joins an elite group of 成人视频 alumni who have won a Super Bowl, including Jim Langer, Adam Timmerman, Adam Vinatieri, Christian Rozeboom and Chris Oladokun. This is a tremendous accomplishment, and we celebrate Dallas and his family on this well-earned achievement.

As we look ahead, I want to remind everyone that the university will be closed next Monday for Presidents Day. I hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved break.

When we return on Feb. 18, we will host our annual Celebration of Faculty Excellence. This is an important day when we recognize the outstanding work and accomplishments of our faculty. The day will include the David Fee Memorial Lecture, the Sewrey Colloquium and the faculty showcase, culminating in our awards program at 6 p.m. I encourage everyone to attend and participate in these events as we honor the dedication and impact of our faculty.

This week, we will welcome the DLR Group to campus on Wednesday as the firm presents the completed University Master Plan. This plan, developed in collaboration with Facilities and Services and various stakeholders across campus, will provide strategic priorities and guidance for transforming our campus over the next 15 to 20 years. The location and time of the presentation can be found below, and I encourage as many of you as possible to attend. A special thank you to Barry Mielke and his team for their hard work in bringing this important project to completion.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who tuned into our presentation last week with the Joint Committee on Appropriations. The presentation went very well, and the committee posed thoughtful questions. I look forward to our continued collaboration with the South Dakota Board of Regents as we work to strengthen public higher education in our state.

I hope you all have a fantastic week. It is truly a great day to be a Jackrabbit!

Go Jacks!

Sincerely,
Barry H. Dunn, President

Above and Beyond

Above and Beyond recognizes individuals and groups of South Dakota State University employees, faculty and students for individual and team efforts that go Above and Beyond to make the campus community a better place. This week we recognize the Natural Resource Management 321: Park Interpretation class and students鈥 efforts to create an interactive display in the Edgar S. McFadden Biostress Laboratory.

Spearheaded by students Grace Carruthers and Hunter Gloden, the class took initiative to redesign the display cases in the hallway of the McFadden Biostress Laboratory, based on interpretive principles they had learned throughout the semester.

Other students in the class include: Braeden Barthel, Xander Delperdang, Tessa Gustafson, Bethanie Hueter, Jade Jenkins, MacKinzey Jurey, Caleigh Loger, Tessa Magner, Ash Morell, Andrew Panka, Isabella Pollman, Amara Roland, Hunter Stewart, Josh Switzer, Wil Werner and Austin Zobel. They were led by assistant professor Jennifer Zavaleta Cheek and graduate teaching assistant Blake Pulse.

Students in the NRM 321 class transformed an outdated, pale display case into an interactive representation of South Dakota鈥檚 native landscape and habitat.

The goal of this project was to provide a hands-on learning experience for students in the conservation planning and park management program and to educate visitors about natural resource management, emphasizing its benefits and the importance of effective stewardship.

The new display, unveiled on Dec. 12, features unique species, tool artifacts, student creations, educational signage and an 鈥淚 Spy鈥 game that invites those walking by to take a closer look. The 鈥淚 Spy鈥 game was incorporated to allow visitors to learn more about South Dakota ecosystems and the role that natural resource management plays in managing those habitats.

Thank you to everyone for their time and efforts in taking the display case to the next level.
