South Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative

The South Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative (SDPQC) is a non-partisan organization focused on advancing education and optimizing perinatal health in South Dakota. Work of the SDPQC may include supporting public discussion of perinatal health topics, advancing sustained, data-driven practices that result in improved quality care for perinatal patients, partnering and collaborating with South Dakota organizations and healthcare providers for the improvement of perinatal health outcomes.

The South Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative was founded in August of 2024. The SDPQC is housed within South Dakota State University's Community Practice Innovation Center. Initial work of the SDPQC is focused on the advancement of maternal care in South Dakota, with specific emphasis on perinatal mental health. Currently, the SDPQC is engaged in two grant-funded projects under the BIRTH-SD umbrella.
