Music at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ

Tradition. Excellence. Travel.

The School of Performing Arts is where Jackrabbits come to express themselves through music. ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ students have been making music on campus for over 125 years.

Nothing beats learning how to teach from fantastic teachers! The School of Performing Arts as a whole is staffed with truly wonderful people. They make it clear that they genuinely care about us and our success. I feel like I could go to any of them with questions, concerns.

The Pride is the most visible band at ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ. In addition to performances during the pregame and halftime activities of all home Jackrabbit football games, the Pride has toured the Upper Midwest extensively, presenting shows at the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and Winnipeg Blue Bombers football games and several guest performances at high school marching competitions in Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.

Throughout the years, members of the Pride have forged friendships and memories that have lasted a lifetime.

Health and Safety

There are musician-specific health and safety issues that as students and professionals pursuing careers in music you should be aware of. The Music Freshman Experience Course (MUS 109) covers in greater detail the maintenance of hearing and musculoskeletal health and injury prevention.

The primary factor in your health and safety is YOU. Be responsible, make good choices and be informed.
