Biography

Craig Silvernagel is an associate professor of entrepreneurship and innovation management. His experience in higher education includes roles as an academic program director and entrepreneurship department chair. His primary teaching interests include new venture creation, entrepreneurial finance and innovation. Craig’s scholarly activity focuses on intellectual property and entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance and entrepreneurship program development.

In addition to his work in higher education, Craig co-founded and operated his own venture (Ad Monkeys, Inc., a marketing and commercial art/production firm) for seven years prior to selling his interest. Craig grew up in a family business environment where his parents co-owned and operated a custom plastic injection-molding manufacturing firm in the Minneapolis, Minnesota metro area (Duo Plastics, Inc.) that employed around 100 people. Craig earned an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning from the University of North Dakota.
