Information for Graduates

Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2024 will be held May 4, 2024 at the Dacotah Bank Center in Brookings, South Dakota. The move from campus is due to the construction in Frost Arena as that facility continues its transformation into First Bank & Trust Arena during the next nine months.

Graduates, associate through doctoral degrees, will walk with their respective colleges at the following times:

  • 10 a.m. – College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering.
  • 2 p.m. – College of Education and Human Sciences and the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.
  • 6 p.m. – College of Nursing, College of Natural Sciences and the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Each ceremony will be ticketed based on capacity, and graduates will receive up to six tickets apiece for their guests.

The Dacotah Bank Center is located at 824 32nd Ave. in Brookings. Formerly known as the Swiftel Center. 

Graduates must have successfully completed the RSVP and will then be issued six tickets for their respective ceremony. There will be no additional tickets available for purchase.

Aug. 28, 2024All requests for degree or registration exceptions (credit by exam, petitions, degree substitutions, waivers, etc.) must be submitted.
Sept. 30, 2024

Official transcripts (with degree posted) are available no later than September 30, 2024.

A graduate’s degree is posted after the College notifies the Registrar’s Office of requirement completion. Graduates awaiting official transcripts are encourage to request a transcript and select HOLD FOR DEGREE.

Oct. 15, 2024Diplomas will be mailed by Parchment no later than October 15, 2024.
