³ÉÈËÊÓƵ launches Global Career Accelerator

South Dakota State University has launched the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Global Career Accelerator, a for-credit, online program for students to gain in-demand skills and real-world experience alongside peers from around the world.

Beginning summer 2024, ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ’s Office of International Affairs will offer the program to all undergraduate majors.

Students who enroll in the ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Global Career Accelerator will collaborate with peers from 50-plus countries around the world to work on projects with iconic organizations like Intel, The Grammys and charity: water.

The Office of International Affairs has been working on developing innovative options that provide students with the skills needed to succeed in the global workforce, without the need to travel.

"The ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Global Career Accelerator is a great program that will equip our students with the skills and experience they need to thrive in today's interconnected world. We are excited to offer this innovative opportunity to our undergraduates, regardless of their major or background," said Jon Stauff, assistant vice president for international affairs.

The ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Global Career Accelerator has four tracks — digital marketing, coding for web, data analytics and coding for data — that students can pursue over the course of summer 2024. Each track has zero prerequisites and is open to students from all majors and backgrounds.

In the program, students will:

  • Work in small groups with other students from 50-plus different countries.
  • Gain work experience by solving real-world problems for global organizations across a variety of industries.
  • Build competency in the most in-demand industry tools like Tableau, Shopify and Python.
  • Learn to critically reflect and apply new global concepts through workplace simulations and training from the United Nations.

The program utilizes video lessons, live virtual classes and portfolio projects to help students develop skills and earn badges and certificates to boost their resumes.

Enrollment is open now for this summer. Learn more about these programs on the .
