Mathematics can take the world almost anywhere!

Data scientist, actuary, statistician, financial/business analyst, social media analyst, mathematics teacher or professor, industrial research and development mathematician– the list of great careers for mathematics majors is long and growing. The B.S. in mathematics program provides an outstanding educational experience to students interested in any of these careers and also provides great preparation for graduate school. The program features concentration areas aligned with the areas of greatest professional opportunity, those being the data science specialization, the actuarial and financial engineering concentration, the mathematics teaching specialization and the computational science concentration. The statistics minor can be included in any of these concentration areas and five year B.S. and M.S. programs can be designed as well. If you love math and want to use it to make a difference in a great career, ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ’s B.S. in mathematics is a great way to go!

In addition, , a self-guided assessment, education and career planning program, will help you reflect on your values, interests, personality traits and skills to provide valuable insight as you explore major and career choices. ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ students may access FOCUS 2 Career by using their student email and password. After completing FOCUS 2 Career, you may find it helpful to discuss your results with a career coach in the .
