Scope of the Collection

The South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum’s collection contains three-dimensional objects including tractors and implements, household furnishings, architectural features, clothing and other textiles, small tools relating to animal husbandry and crop production, toys and books. Two-dimensional archival collections include maps and atlases, prints from "Harper’s Weekly" and "Leslies’ Illustrated," agricultural magazines and encyclopedia, the Beckman Archive - tractor and machinery manuals and the Photograph and Postcard Archive. The museum’s collection also includes a collection of South Dakota State University related material.
