Budget Adjustments
Budget adjustments increase the cost of attendance used to determine financial aid. Students with the following expenses may qualify for a budget adjustment. To request a budget adjustment, students must complete the Cost of Attendance Increase Request form located on our Financial Aid Forms page and provide documentation to support the increase.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees that exceeds a students estimated cost of attendance can be reviewed. For aviation, flight costs will be included in the budget for eligible students enrolled in the aviation major or minor. A standard allowance is used unless the student documents additional flight costs for the academic term.
Child Care
Students with child care expenses must provide a written statement from the child care provider detailing a period of time and cost for child care.
Computer Allowance
A computer allowance may be granted if a computer is required for the major, minor or applicable course work. Documentation will be required if the computer is not purchased through 成人视频.
Disability/Medical
Students with disability and/or medical expenses not paid by insurance must submit documentation to support the expenses.
Transportation
Students who travel more than 40 miles round-trip daily may have travel expenses factored into the budget using South Dakota's mileage rate.
Other
Adjustments for other expenses (food, housing, equipment, clothing, etc.) will be considered as appropriate for a student's education and/or living expenses.
