Bringing together leadership, planning, marketing and creativity in an events and facilities administration minor.

A minor in events and facilities administration will strengthen students’ preparation to work in careers that involve event planning and facilities administration (political events, celebrations, education, promotions, commemorations, trade shows, conferences, exhibitions and conventions). Students earning this minor will demonstrate leadership characteristics and make decisions based on integrating knowledge of financial, human resources, promotion and event administration principles.

The curriculum provides students with research-based best practices, knowledge, skills and understanding for planning events and managing facilities where events take place. More specifically, this minor will provide students with a deeper understanding of what it takes to plan and promote successful events, with particular focus on events and facilities administration, facilities management and design and marketing.
